Our Family Life…All Together

Jorden’s Freedom Wagon

I have a cousin named Jorden.  He’s a pretty cool little man.  He has Larsen’s syndrome which is a very rare genetic disease that affects his joints and connective tissue.  The van the family uses to get him to his activities recently caught on fire which means Jorden has no way to make it to his band practices.  Here is the article the local news posted on his situation…

Altoona Boy Needs a New Van to Get Around

So I asked his big sister, Brittany, if it would be ok to post the link for donations for a cool ride for Jorden on my blog to help.  I’m asking for you to donate anything you can for this family.   Every little bit helps and it would be such a shame if Jorden couldn’t continue to do his normal things.

Here is the link for their donation page.  I thank you in advance!

Ten on Whatever Day this Posts…

1.  I took Mazie to register for EIGHTH GRADE last week.  I’m still in denial.

2.  She was so excited until she saw that she was supposed to have Spanish II.  She never had Spanish I so we had to have her electives changed.  Now she doesn’t have Spanish at all but Art, Teacher’s Aide for study skills, and beginning guitar and none of her honors core classes changed.  She’s happy again.

3.  Last night was back to school night for the elementary.  Jacob and Jamie were very pleased with their new teachers.  Now they are super excited about starting tomorrow.

4.  Back to school tomorrow!  For a 2nd grader, a 5th grader, and an 8th grader…that makes us sound old!

5.  The kids and Jeremiah and I are running in the Color Run in Salt Lake City on Saturday.  It should be super fun!

6.  Jacob developed swimmers ear from being at the local water park last weekend.  It’s our first ear infection, surprisingly.  I hope it’s our last.

7.  Thunderstorms at bedtime could become nonexistent in my opinion.  For example, being beautiful all day long like today and then storming just as we are going to bed tonight is not funny.  I’m hoping that by the time I go to bed tonight it is all over.  To say that I’m not a fan of thunderstorms is an understatement.

8.  The part of going back to school that I like most is being able to go to the gym.  I didn’t do too badly this summer.  I ran regularly in the mornings with Jeremiah before work and did things here at home but it’s different going to the gym.  I need to get back into my routine with weights.  Anyone out there with me on that one?

9.  We are hoping someone rents out our Colorado Springs house soon.  We’ve had lots of traffic but no takers for that last 2 weeks.  If you know of anyone interested in a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 2 story with a basement house for rent, send them our way, please.

10.  Ok, so I lied.  There are only 9 things.  My brain doesn’t have room for a tenth thing this week since I couldn’t even get it on the right day.  So happy whatever day this posts! 😉

Jamaica

July 10 marked 15 years of wedded bliss for Jeremiah and me.  We decided that we should do something for just the two of us and I reluctantly agreed on a week for us to go somewhere fabulous without the kids.  So we went to planning on our vacation.  We decided on a Sandals resort and after much research decided on the Negril, Jamaica location.  An all-inclusive resort in Jamaica?  I think I could get on board with being without the kids for a week for the first since having them.  Then I realized that they were going to Pennsylvania and leaving before our trip and getting back after.  Which meant I was going to be without kids for nearly 2 whole weeks!  What?! I had to figure out how to be ok without the kids for almost 2 weeks?  I literally had  to look at the Sandals website almost daily to calm my nerves as the days were leading up to the kids leaving for Pennsylvania.  And guess what?  I was just fine.  I knew the actual trip was going to be amazing and it really was.  It was the few days before and after that I was here at home without the kids that was really hard on me.  But, again, I survived.

So now onto the good stuff.  The few pictures that I took and that we purchased from the resort.  Let me start by saying, if you are thinking of doing a trip like this know that it is truly an all-inclusive resort.   We only paid extra for our one excursion which we set up before we got there, our beach sunset dinner for our actual anniversary day which we set up before we got there, and pictures and souvenirs.

Our room had a swim up to the pool just outside that overlooked the beach.  This was our view from our patio…

IMG_0011

IMG_0009

We enjoyed breakfast here a few mornings…

IMG_0003

We spent every morning on the beach where we had chairs that were reserved for us with a cooler full of water.  It was nice letting someone pamper us for a week.  IMG_0019

We also had a couples massage.  The last time we had a massage was 11 years ago when we went to Hawaii.  I was in so much pain after because it felt like the therapist was taking out her problems on me.  I swore them off.  But I decided to try it again and it was amazing.  I have never been so relaxed.  The therapist that was massaging me said I had three knots in my neck.  I jokingly told her that they each had a name since I have three kids!  IMG_0037

We went on a tour of the island on a sunset cruise.  At the end of the cruise, everyone was doing shots on the bar.  That was fun.  Alcohol was completely included and there was a lot of it.  In fact, the one bartender would see Jeremiah coming and call out, “Hey Rum and Coke!”

IMG_0035

There were lots of critters around.  Peacocks would join us for breakfast, starfish in the ocean, little sand crabs.  We saw lots of crabs actually.  This one greeted us on our patio on day…

IMG_0007

We had reservations at the one restaurant one night.  It happened to be at sunset and we were seated right next to the beach…

630709356

We did a few things that were way outside of my box.  We went kayaking.  Yep, I’ve never done that and was terrified the whole time but, when I finally was on the sand again, I was happy I did it with my love.  We also went snorkeling.  I was so scared going into it but was so excited.  It took a bit to figure out how to breathe with the mask and such but I got the hang of it and was happy there was a photographer catching us feeding the colorful fish with a piece of melon even if I was in a bathing suit…

950708036

On our actual anniversary day, we set up to have a dinner on the beach at sunset.  It was just the two of us and it was amazing.  We had such a great time just enjoying the view and not having to eat in 20 minutes because a little one was going to throw a fit or start fighting with another one.

710710169

710710187

It was a trip to remember and we will be going to a sandals resort again.  It was the first vacation we’ve taken that we both felt it was a true vacation and we didn’t need days to recuperate.  It was truly amazing.

IMG_0048

Next up, what the kids did while they were in Pennsylvania!

Ten On Tuesday

1.  So I got the pictures from Jeremiah’s promotion ceremony at the end of April.  I was not too happy with the pictures.  We are all out of focus.  The guy taking the pictures must have bumped the camera and it focused on the cake.  I’m happy about it being focused on the cake but that wasn’t the important part.

2.  Here you go..

IMG_8889

IMG_8893

IMG_8894

3.  This is the one I am most disappointed in.  I hate being in pictures and this one would have been a good one had we been in focus.  I should have just set up my own camera and used my remote.

IMG_8896

4.  Stating the oath…

IMG_8898

 5.  Giving out gifts.  He gave my dad and Jacob coins (and made Jacob promise to not put it in his mouth) and gave the girls and me lovely flower arrangements.

IMG_8905

6.  It really was a lovely ceremony.  The cake was a hit.  I was pleased with how it turned out.

IMG_0002

7.  The pictures from our dining out turned out much better.  Apparently the person snapping pictures knew how to use the camera.  This one was from Mazie using my camera in front of our garage…

IMG_0027

(good picture-taking skills from my 12-year-old, dontyathink?  Maybe I should have had her take the ceremony pictures)

8.  This couple lives across the street from us.  And if that wasn’t lucky enough for them, he happens to have the pleasure of working with Jeremiah.  He is really the coolest captain out there.  She throws mad birthday parties and has the best laugh.  They have really awesome kids too.  It’s always a fun night if they are around!

IMG_5730

9.  We were able to get a good one of us just before Jeremiah thought it was funny to photobomb.

IMG_5734

IMG_5773

The funny thing about this picture is that they had no idea he was there until the guy taking the picture showed them on the viewfinder.  It’s priceless.

10.  So that should sum up the last of the lagging I’ve been doing.  Summer break is well into its third week and we’ve been hanging around doing odds and ends here and there.  A day trip to Lagoon, going to the splash pad, reading, riding bikes/scooters/skates.  Just having fun.  We are gearing up for our big vacation around here and trying to stay calm about it.  To say we are all a bit excited is an understatement.  The kids have 2 weeks from tomorrow before their big trip to Camp No Rules, as Jacob is referring to it.  We have 2 weeks from Friday before heading to our trip to Jamaica.

Happy Tuesday!

Father’s Day

Today on Father’s Day, we would like to wish every dad we know a very happy day.  We are so blessed to have some pretty exceptional dads in our lives.  But that dad who lives in this house happens to be King, even if it uncool to have mom capture a kiss from dad on camera…

IMG_0010

Can you say “mini me”?  I mean if there ever was another matched dad and daughter, I’d like to meet them.  Same smile, brains, looks…

IMG_0007

And this boy thinks his dad hung the moon.  His dad is pretty awesome…

IMG_0003

I think I need a shirt that says, “This is my circus and these are my monkeys”.

IMG_0017

IMG_0019

IMG_0023

But I wouldn’t change that for all the normal in the world.

IMG_0013

Happy Father’s Day, Jeremiah!  We love you.

Big Round Up

Hi, my name is Megan.  I’m an avid procrastinator of this blog.  Sorry for the absence to anyone who actually reads this thing.  I actually have a really good excuse for some of the procrastination.  I’ve been waiting on the pictures from Jeremiah’s promotion ceremony to be downloaded from his office’s camera and they just keep lending out the camera before it gets done.  So we will skip it and return with that when I get those pictures.

1.  Anyway,  Jamie’s actual birthday was fun.  She was overwhelmed with all the gifts and love from our family around the country.  She felt very blessed to have so many people think of her on her big day.  So now (over a month later) she’s a whole decade old but nothing has changed otherwise.  She’s still a sweet, sensitive, caring young lady who thinks of others *usually* before herself.

IMG_0008

IMG_0014

2.  Pop Pop visited for a couple of weeks.  He was here for all the big festivities…Jamie’s big 10, Jeremiah’s promotion, support while I was baking like a crazy woman for the whole thing, etc.  Seriously he planned his trip perfectly and I was able to keep what sanity I have because he helped me so.  As a treat, we took him to the Hogle Zoo, our first time there too.

IMG_0018

We were a bit disappointed that the giraffes were unable to be viewed since the exhibit was being renovated but we will go back to see it once it’s open.  We were happy to see the primates, however.  I mean, really, the kids like seeing their own kind 😉

IMG_0022

IMG_0025

3.  Mother’s Day weekend was super fun for us.  We drove all the way to California!  As soon as we left Utah, Arizona was amazing and the view was breathtaking.  It took us about 10 hours to Anaheim and we were so happy to be out of the car!

After a good night’s sleep, we headed to the one place we’ve missed almost as much as our friend…Disneyland and California Adventure, of course. IMG_0001

IMG_0002

After waiting in line to wait in line (Jeremiah waited in the fast pass line for the new Cars ride just so we could wait in the shorter line for the actual ride), we headed for a few rides in California Adventure (and I snapped pictures).

IMG_0005

IMG_0003

Radiator Springs was simply amazing.  Like just out of the Cars movie, amazing.  The Disney peeps really pulled it out for this renovation.  It was something to see.  And the ride we waited in line to wait in the shorter line was worth the wait.  Even I rode the ride!

IMG_0020

IMG_0021

IMG_0009

IMG_0014

After a quick lunch and our fill of California Adventure, we headed over to Disneyland.  This place holds so many memories for us.  Like the first time Mazie met Cinderella and she walked Mazie across the park.  Or the time Jamie told Winnie the Pooh that she was potty trained.  We couldn’t possibly skip it while in California.  So we picked a few of our favorite Disney things and crammed them into the afternoon and were pretty satisfied with our Disney experience by the end of the day.  The girls insisted on Autopia for one of our must dos.  Mazie was tall enough to ride by herself (not well but still by herself).  On a side note, it’s a good thing we have 4 years until she is able to actually drive for real.

IMG_0022

And Jamie was able to drive if I pressed the pedal.  Fine with me because I could stop us, if needed…

IMG_0024

Then I decided to just enjoy walking around with my family and taking in all the things at Disneyland.  I did take a few pictures of the parade which is always a must when we are there…

IMG_0048

After getting dinner in Downtown Disney, we headed back to the hotel and passed out.  The next day, we played in the pool at the hotel and did homework that was due when we returned home, just relaxed.  The kids were in a wedding this weekend so we went to the rehearsal.  We found out then that Jacob was actually carrying the real wedding rings on his pillow.  So I had to tell him we was really the most important person (besides the bride and groom, of course) and he had to be so so careful with his pillow.  We were so worried about that part that we may have forgotten to tell the kids that they were going to have to stand for the whole ceremony.  Luckily, the bride and groom kept the ceremony short and sweet (like ours 15 years ago!) that they didn’t seem to notice!  But more on the wedding in a minute…

4.  We got up early one morning to make the 45 minute trek to Redondo Beach to meet up with the Laughreys, the Pikes, and the Shertzers for breakfast.  It was so great to see everyone and catch up (as much catching up as you can do in an hour).  We are a good lookin’ bunch, donchathink? (This picture is minus Wally who was snapping the picture and Cory-I’m not sure where he happened to disappear to).

photo

5.  Now onto the wedding.  So we drove back to Anaheim with just enough time to get ready (girls needed hair curled) and head to the church.  Jacob was so handsome in his little suit and was so proud to be wearing it.  He was honored when they asked if he would “be in charge of the rings”.  He did such a great job.IMG_0058

IMG_0062

my handsome men 🙂

and one with me and my little man

IMG_0063

The girls were beautiful, of course, in their matching dresses and with pretty bouquets.  They, too, were honored when Erin and Tony asked if they would be in the wedding.  They walked behind Jacob down the aisle to the altar and Jacob escorted Jamie back down the aisle at the end of the ceremony.

These were taken after the ceremony while we were waiting on the bride and groom to make their getaway.

IMG_0065

IMG_0071

IMG_0067

We made our way to the reception and the kids were so excited that they did so well.  They were proud of themselves but not prouder than I was.  I think every person at the ceremony came up to complement us on the kids.  It was nice to hear.

The bridal party was introduced with a little bio.  The kids were first and I was a little late catching all of Mazie’s bio.  But Jamie’s bio and Jacob’s bio were in full.  They were all well done and the kids loved it!  Congratulations Tony and Erin! We wish you many, many years of wedding bliss!!

6.  So we get up super early the next day to drive all the way back to Utah.  It was depressing.  We had such a beautiful scenic drive until we got to Utah.  The Valley of Doom and Gloom.  Seriously.  It literally was snowing many inches of snow.  On Mother’s Day.  We had to slow to a crawl and sometimes a stop on the pass.  There were many accidents and, of course, everyone had to pee and no rest stops in sight.  When we were able to stop at a rest stop (in flip-flops in snow), we overheard a trucker tell someone on his phone that he wasn’t going to make his delivery because they closed the pass.  Thank Goodness we left when we did and did not get stuck there.  We were able to make it home (an extra 1 1/2 hours of driving).  This was my mother’s day…

photo (1)

I’m one blessed Mama with these three in my life (and, of course, my wonderful husband who made it possible for me to be called Mom).

7.  So being back in Utah with three weeks left of the school year, the weeks went fast.  All of a sudden, the kids had field trips and field day and projects due and all the end of the year festivities.  Mazie had one final band concert (at least at this school).  I am so impressed with these kids.  The band teacher is kind of flaky and they had to kind of pick it up on their own.  They worked hard and it showed.

IMG_0001

Mazie has officially started private lessons with a teacher close to the base.  When she had a trial lesson last week, I was taken back by how much the instructor reminded me of my old elementary band teacher, Mr. Bowman.  Anyone remember him?  He was crazy and awesome and everything a band teacher should be.  He set the standard for what we were to expect from our instructors.  Our high school band teacher fit the bill as well.  We were blessed to have great instructors and I can’t wait to hear her improvement over the next few weeks.  Mazie is super excited about this instructor as they have similar personalities.  Being excited about music warms my heart!

8.  So the end of the year just showed up whether we were ready for it or not.  The last day of school pictures…

IMG_0015

IMG_0014

IMG_0025

IMG_0021

So with that we now have a 2nd, 5th, and 8th grader in the house.  *sigh*  You can see the first day of school here.

That’s that for now.  Hopefully, sometime soon, I can get the pictures from Jeremiah’s promotion and put them up here for all to see.  And maybe I can see if there were any photos taken of us at the dining out last week.  Who knows?  Maybe I will actually start blogging regularly.  It’s possible, not likely, but possible. 😉

Ten on Tuesday

1.  Easter was pretty laid back here.  Pretty uneventful which is just the way we like it.  The kids searched for eggs…in their jammies…

IMG_0010

 IMG_0011

IMG_0013

2.  That’s just how we egg-rolled this year.  (sorry, I couldn’t resist)

3.  Pop Pop arrived and it’s been non-stop since.  If you are friends with me on facebook or follow me on twitter, you know there was a lot going on this weekend.

4.  Jamie’s birthday party was this weekend.  We celebrated her 10th (*sigh*) birthday at Color Me Mine in Ogden.  We had a grand time.  The one serious picture I took and Jamie’s eyes were closed…

IMG_0033

so we took a silly one too…

IMG_0036

5.  The kids colored their pieces and then they were sent to the back to get glazed and baked.  Then they enjoyed birthday cake with Olaf on top…

IMG_0032

6.  I’m still at a loss because tonight, on her birthday eve, I have no idea how this…

Jamie Bo

and this…

052606c

and this…

IMG_0019_edited-2

turn into this…

IMG_0039

7.  Jamie and Jeremiah went on their annual date too.  They went to see Rio 2 (which Jamie highly recommends) and to eat at Olive Garden.  She told us when she arrived home that there was no way she was going to fit into her wedding dress next week if she didn’t stop eating!

8.  Today was a fun day for our family.  The kids stayed home from school so they wouldn’t be late for Jeremiah’s promotion ceremony.  Since his promotion to Lt. Col is official May 1, he just couldn’t take away from Jamie’s birthday tomorrow so he decided to take off tomorrow and do the ceremony today.  The kids loved putting on his new rank and were so proud of dad.  Pictures to come since I didn’t pick up my camera during the ceremony.   Hopefully the photographer there got some good ones.

9.  So tomorrow we have 2 tweens in the house and a newly promoted Lt. Col.  Big changes going on around here.

10.  That is all for now.  I have to update the Stahrs Cakes blog and hope to do it soon.  Stay tuned!

Happy Tuesday!

Ten On Tuesday

1.  Quarter Update:  The quarter has passed.  Jacob had another x-ray yesterday to see where it was and it was no longer there.  I didn’t realize how much I was holding my breath over the last two weeks until we were told there was no more quarter.  I definitely felt lighter today!

2.  Mazie was named Student of the Month for her CTE class.  She was pretty happy about that good news.

3.  Parent/Teacher conferences are this week.

4.  We had Flat Stanley visiting us last week.  We took him to the Natural History Museum of Utah.  He seemed to have fun. 😉

5.  Mazie gets to go to that same museum for a field trip on Friday.  She’s excited since she knows her way around now.

6.  Jacob is doing a basketball camp at school.  For the next few Wednesdays, he gets to stay after school to learn some skills.  He’s pretty excited.

7.  All three kids got all As on their report card for last quarter.  I’m pretty proud of those smarties!

8.  Jamie’s big 10th birthday is in three weeks. *sigh*  She is having a party at Color Me Mine and a “Frozen” themed cake.

9.  Jeremiah’s big promotion is in three weeks as well.  Lots of parties going on here…

10.  It was just glorious outside today.  I had the windows open all day and just aired out all the stale air.  It was so nice.  I’ve been so ready for Spring to be Spring.

Happy Tuesday!

Spring Break 2014

Our Spring Break came and went what with 5 whole days off of school.  It sure is a difference from the whole 2 weeks we had in Colorado.  We just kind of hung around and relaxed for a change.  And the kids were ready to go back to school today!

1.  Quarter Update:  As you may remember, last week Jacob swallowed a quarter.  Still not sure how but it’s in there.  Friday he had his 7 year check up and we did a few more x-rays to see what was going on with this quarter.  Turns out that it hadn’t moved at all from his Wednesday x-rays.  This started a little bit of worry in the doctor.  She called a GI specialist who ordered a few more x-rays.  After a total of 6 x-rays (since Wednesday) we find out that the quarter is in fact in his stomach and can stay there for up to 4 weeks!  We were asked to just monitor his poop for signs of a quarter and otherwise come back on Monday for another x-ray to see what’s going on.  Monday’s x-rays (2 more) showed the quarter is on the move, still in the stomach but on the move, nonetheless.  We check it again next week.

2.  Jacob’s new theme song is Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.  I may have joked with him about heating some food up for me for supper.  All he would have to do is hold it and count to 60!  He didn’t find humor in that.

3.  I took the kids to school on Jacob’s birthday and when we arrived, it was just the right time to snap Jacob’s official birth picture…

IMG_0002

4.  This is his first year that school was in session over his birthday.  So he was pretty excited to share some mini chocolate cupcakes with his friends at school.  IMG_0008

5.  When he got home, Jamie and I made Jacob homemade fettuccine noodle while dad worked on the alfredo sauce, shrimp, and meatballs (yes that is what he ordered).  Then the neighbor kids came over to wish him a happy birthday while he blew out his seven candles…

IMG_0009

IMG_0012

IMG_0013

IMG_0019

My little jokester.  He asked for all kinds of dress up things for boys.  He couldn’t wait to try them out!

6.  We celebrated Jacob’s birthday at Sky Trampoline Arena.  The only thing he wanted for his party was to have as many boys as possible at the party.  We do not have many boys in the neighborhood and with Spring Break (good job scheduling things, mom!) we didn’t have many to choose from.  He was ok with the girls showing up since there were actually more boys anyway.

IMG_0031

IMG_0045

IMG_0063

IMG_0087

We were missing a boy in this picture.  Not sure how that happened.  But there were 6 boys and only 4 girls, officially!

IMG_0078

He wanted a Lego cake for his party.  He wanted a green piece that was chocolate cake and two white cakes that were blue and yellow.  I don’t think I did too bad of a job!  All the kids asked for seconds.  So that’s good, right?

7.  March happened to be Mustache March around here.  Jeremiah’s offices never made such a big deal out of it before so he thought he would join in the fun this year.  31 long days of facial hair.  Don’t get me wrong, I like seeing men with facial hair.  Beards fascinate me.  I always want to touch them when I see them.  Not that I would go up to a complete stranger to do so but still.  So facial hair is not a bad thing…unless you want to kiss it.  I personally do not like facial hair tickling my nose when I want to give my husband a kiss.  So on Monday, I took this of Jeremiah in all his facial (and head) hair and then ordered him to remove it so I could kiss his handsome face…and he obliged…

IMG_0104

8.  We had kind of weird weather for Spring Break here.  It would rain on minute and snow the next.  I’m kind of over the white stuff and we haven’t had much here.  I can’t even imagine what it’s like for our eastern friends.

9.  We received a package in the mail on Monday holding A Flat Stanley and his passport book.  We are so excited to take him into the city and then send him off on his next adventure.  He’s had quite a few up to now.

10.  Speaking of passports, Jeremiah and I have an appointment on Friday to get our passport photos and applications sent in so we can go to Jamaica in July.  I’m kind of really excited. 😉

Ten On Tuesday

1.  Jacob and I went on our annual birthday date on Saturday.  He wanted to go for wings and see the “Mr. Peabody movie”.  So we did.  We tried boneless parmesan garlic chicken wings (which are yummy, btw) and the movie was spectacular.  We loved it all.  On the way to the movie, Jacob said that he was happy he decided to come on the date because he was having so much fun.  I had no idea he was considering not going but I’m glad he decided to go as well.  🙂

2.  He bought me flowers for our date.

IMG_00033.  So today is our last day with a six-year-old in the house.  Our last one.  No more six-year-olds ever.  I’m pretty devastated by that last statement.

4.  Jacob was not going to turn seven without a big deal.  Tonight he swallowed a quarter.  A QUARTER, people!  I have no idea how he did it.  One second I was telling him to put the quarter in his piggy bank and not in his mouth because it was dirty.  Next, he’s coming down the stairs with tears in his eyes because he not only had it in his mouth but swallowed it.  Since he was breathing fine, the doctor told us to take him for a x-ray tomorrow to make sure it is in his stomach.  He ate supper and played outside like nothing happened.

5.  Here’s hoping that seven-year-old boys listen a little better than six-year-old boys!

6.  I went along with the fourth graders to the Natural History Museum of Utah on Thursday.  It was quite fun.  I had 5 boys and 3 girls in my group.  Thankfully the girls helped me keep the boys inline since they probably shouldn’t have been grouped together.

7.  Jeremiah went snowboarding for the first (and probably only) time on Friday.  It was a military day at Powder Mountain.  He had bruised knees, elbows, bum, and was so sore that he could barely move all weekend.  Today he said was the first he felt like he had a good workout.  Oh, I almost forgot about the cracked helmet.  He fell so hard one time that he cracked his rented helmet.  The helmet came front and broke his sunglasses (leaving a mark on his cheek).  One of the guys with him said he was at least 100 yards ahead of him and he heard Jeremiah crack his head.  So thank God he had a helmet.

8.  Mazie is so excited about her CTE class (home ec for those old enough to know what that is plus a bit of business added throughout the year).  She will be sewing pajama pants.  Today she started learning about the machines she will be using in class.

9.  I made 70 mini cupcakes today.  I had no idea I was going to get that many out of my batches.  I only needed 25 for school tomorrow and a star-shaped cake with some cuppies for tomorrow night.  Needless to say, some are going to work tomorrow.

10.  The birthday banner is hung, the boy’s crown is out, his star is ready to go…I can’t believe he is going to be seven tomorrow.  I’m not going to get much sleep tonight worrying about his little quarter stunt and the fact that he’s just too big too fast.  *sigh*

Happy Tuesday!
